Beach pyjamas

Vintage jumpsuit, fun and flattering. I was adamant that if I was ever going to wear a jumpsuit it wasn’t going to look like a babygro.

Mine is made in a heavy vintage crepe (fiver in a charity shop) and it skims kindly over every bump and bulge. As others have mentioned, this pattern is short waisted. I added 5cm to bodice length and couldn’t have got away with less (am 5’7″).

It is straightforward, the binding takes an age and I didn’t make it in the order given in the instructions. I found the front crossover would not sit correctly until it was fully together and could be tried on and I left the placement of the ties and buttonhole til the end. Don’t be tempted to set the tie into the seam and omit the button hole as this give a lopsided look with the waist cinched in on only one side.
