Arenite pants – Sew Liberated

A review of Sew Liberated Arenite Pants

These are a slouchy, elasticated waist pant with the WIDEST pockets! I sewed up a size 6 in a lyocell linen slub with no modifications. With the flat felled seam these were a bit of a longer make a a little more challenging than simply finishing with a serger. I really liked the look of the seam and appreciate the finished edges. I also sewed darts into the pockets as they were a bit too slouchy for me.

The pants are very comfy, but I do think next time I would cut a little longer elastic waist as it is a bit tight across the tummy and hard to wear all day. Next time I want to try the slim hacked version for a bit of a more fitted pair, as well as a cropped bottom (instead of the elasticated bottom shown here).
