Archer Button Up Shirt

A review of Grainline Studio Archer Button Up Shirt

In general, this is a nice basic shirt and I found the instructions easy to follow.

However, I have gripes on this pattern, which is clearly not designed with big girls in mind. I made the biggest size according to my measurements and it fits well around my bust and shoulders. But the sleeves and cuffs were a nasty surprise.

Just because my bust is 10 cm bigger than average, doesn’t mean my wrists are too… I have had to put an enormous overlap between the button and the end of the sleeve to make it look reasonable, and the sleeves are incredibly billowy as a result, i feel a bit swamped.

Another smaller gripe was the pocket placement, which I should have placed wider instead of mindlessly following the pattern. Serves me right for not making a toile!
