This edition of the Fibre Mood magazine contains 12 sewing patterns.
* I was given a preview of the patterns contained in this issue by Fibre Mood a few weeks before the magazine launched, and gifted a pattern of my choice. I will only ever accept a pattern if I feel it will truly fit my style and will be a wearable piece in my wardrobe.
I have to say that as a dress lover I was spoilt for choice, but decided upon the Dolly dress pattern.
It’s a loose fitting A-line dress which gathers around the neckline, removing the need for bust darts. The elbow length puffed gathered sleeves are finished with a narrow cuff and delightfully comfortable even when reaching up (the whole dress doesn’t follow you up)!
In-seam pockets are a useful (some would say essential) part of the dress and the darling neck tie is the perfect width to make a statement.
The dress length is fairly short. I’m 5’2″ and this is the length of the dress with no alterations to the pattern. I will add a couple of inches to my next version.
I used a black swiss dot cotton lawn, but this would be amazing in a chambray, gingham, double gauze or seersucker don’t you think?
My full review can be found over on my blog here , and can find me over on Instagram if you want to see everything that I get up to!
Take care,
