An autumn Deer and Doe Nenuphar

Reviewed by rebeccasstitches on 8th October, 2019

I first came across the Nenuphar jacket last year when I saw @carinaspencer’s corduroy version and loved it. So I decided to make my own version using this rust needlecord, which is perfect for autumn.

The instructions were easy to follow and the pattern came together as expected. The only deviation from the instructions I made was to leave out the interfacing. I did this because I feel the cord is a stiff enough fabric (it isn’t a recommended fabric to use) and interfacing would make the collar too stiff, and I think it was the correct decision. Plus anytime I don’t have to interface is a win!

My measurements are; bust 100cm, waist 86cm, hips 114cm. I made a size 44 with no alterations, based on the finished garment measurements.

I love it, it came out as I expected and I reach for it every day at present. I made view A, and would say its a beginner pattern, that I’d definitely recommend.
