Fabric used is 100% Rayon from Spotlight, as well as having a beautiful print it feels very soft, smooth & drapes beautifully. Rayon can be a little slippery to work with but taking my time, plenty of pins & some basting in trickier spots did the trick.
I have a spoon shaped body type & decidedon version A hoping the belted waist & cap sleeves would create the allusion of balance. I started with a size 14 top grading out to a size 16 for the hips. The top fits perfectly across my bust, shoulders & sleeves, though a little more snug around my middle than I’m used to. Perhaps I should have made a toile first! I’m shaping up for summer so hoping to feel more comfortable in it soon:-)
The pattern is great, instructions clear & finishes clean. I would recommend this pattern to a confident beginner as it gives a great opportunity to practice some skills such as verticle darts, inserting an invisible zip & making thread loops.
I’ll definitely be making this pattern again
