A woven top that fits out of the packet!

This pattern was gifted to me by a good friend and I was so glad it was as it’s a fantastic pattern!
This is a basic tank style top with thick straps and a bust dart. It comes in two lengths, cropped and a bit longer.
The pattern comes in sizes 0-30 with two bust sizes and a range of 31 to 58 inches in bust sizes.
I did not follow the instructions but I did browse through them and I thought they were extremely detailed, more so than I have seen in any other pattern designers.
I loved the simplicity of the design, and that it fit me out of the packet and that its a great base for many designs to come. Hacking ability 100%!
I made this twice, both times in cotton.
I initially made it in a size 22 only lowering the dart by 1 inch (normal alteration for me) and lengthening the body by 2 inches. I reduced the neckline by 3 inches.
For my second make I went down to a size 20, lowered the dart, extended the hemline as mentioned above and reduced the neckline another 3 inches (6 in total)
I would definitely sew again and I would recommend it to others.
I love that Helen’s Closet are now coming in bigger sizes and want to make all of their patterns now!
Its great to finally have a project that fits me so well. I already have hack ideas so will be going ahead with that, perhaps in some viscose fabrics for extra drape.
