A sleeveless summery Quincy

A review of Jennifer Lauren Handmade Quincy Dress

The Quincy dress is a shirt-waist style dress, with a yoke, drawstring to bring the waist in, nice pockets and interchangeable pieces with the Mayberry dress. Oh and it has cup sizes! It’s basically a pretty, easy-to-wear, perfect summery dress. I modified my version slightly- made it sleeveless and added elastic at the waist instead of the tie. I really love it, particularly as the sleeveless aspect makes it perfect for summer. I actually made this last year and I have worn it lots, and it was a pleasure to discover it again this summer. The other thing I love about this dress… this gorgeous Seasalt voile with vibrant strawberries and daisies. It’s such a lovely print.

For reference- I cut a 6B grading to an 8 at the waist. I scooped out the armscye to make it sleeveless, and finished them with bias binding. The instructions from Jennifer Lauren are great. I definitely recommend this dress!
