A great wrap! from Pattern Scout

This is a such a lovely wrap pattern! I’ve made the top version, and I definitely want to make more and the dress version.

I used the sewalong on her website which had really clear pictures and explained each step really well.

I love the seam finishes chosen in the instructions. I’m used to ‘finish with a zig zag or overlocker’ so it was refreshing to see french seams and a flat felled seam.

All the pieces came together really easily and I’m very happy with the fit of the wrap. The written instructions say that you can add a little popper to keep it closed, but I havent needed one on this version.

The only change I’d  make next time is to lengthen the bodice a bit. This hits just at the top of my shorts so I’d like it slightly longer to feel more secure.

I really recommend this for intermediate sewers. An advanced beginner could probably tackle it with the sewalong.
