Camille and Edie

Edie

The Edie pattern was very easy to follow and took about two hours to sew up. I made a size 20, but I think I could have sized down to an 18. More here: https://aitcheysews.wordpress.com/2019/03/24/ness-and-edie/

Camille

I thoroughly enjoyed making the Camille jumpsuit . Some lovely tailoring features to get to grips with but nothing too complex, and the instructions were, for the most part, really clear.

I like the tucks under the bust, I think it’s a really flattering effect. It does gape a little while sitting, so I’ll add a popper if I make it again. The tucks were the only thing I struggled to follow the instructions for. I think it’s because the images in the instructions didn’t demonstrate where to sew and showed a seam in a different location to where I expected.

While I do love the way the sleeves look (my inner goth is flapping, bat-like, into the horizon), it’s a bit dramatic for day to day wear. I’ll make the tight sleeved version next time I think.
