A fantastic ‘basic’

The Block Tee is a really useful, wearable garment that also has interesting construction details and is fun to sew. I made my version in a straight size 8 with no alterations and I’m really happy with the fit – it’s the perfect amount of ‘boxy’ for me! The fabric I used is a beautiful silk noil from The New Craft House and the weight and drape works really well with the style of the top. I know that some people are put off making this pattern because of sewing ‘those corners’, but there is a very useful blog post by Paper Theory with further instructions for this step and it really isn’t that bad! Other than that stage, construction is a breeze and this was a quick and satisfying sew – highly recommended!
