a dreamy smock

When I first saw this pattern I knew it was for me, I love a simple smock style and this one has lots of cute features. I especially love all the options to make the pattern your own and its a great base to hack and add your own details.

I made the size 7 graded out to an 8 at the waist and hip. I also did a 0.75 inch FBA (so I added a total of 1.5 inches. I’m really happy with the fit but may take out the arm seam by 0.5cm. I also really love the slight curve in the waist, it’s really flattering. the hem on the top version is slightly
dipped at the back with a curve so take your time when your pressing it but Tilly has included great instructions on how to get it perfect. I love the instructions for adding the ruffle detail at the waist and sleeve flounce too, it is a little fiddly so take your time and it will look beautiful! Also theres no zips or buttons so it comes together really quick.

Overall I’d say its a great pattern for beginners and experienced sewists with loads of options for customisation, its going to become a staple in my wardrobe, highly recommended.
