The Reeta shirt dress is a great pattern and i’m really happy with the finished dress. It does have quite a lot of elements to it so i’d recommend it for a more intermediate sewer. The dress is meant to be midi-length but on me at 5’6″ it is maxi so I decided to keep it longer. I did an FBA but other than that made no changes. The finish on the inside is really nice and the instructions have been thoughtfully put together. I particularly like how the front facing and yoke fit together. The only tricky bit was getting the collar to fit around the corners, which took me quite a while to get right. If you don’t like doing button holes then this isn’t the pattern for you as there are 12 in total! I made this dress using a linen viscose from Guthrie and Ghani and the fabric has a lovely balance between structure and drape. It’s a really good fit and I like the style a lot. I hope to be wearing this all summer long, comes highly recommended : )
Rachel.
