This is the Alex shirt pattern from the Sew Over It’s City Break book. I was not too satisfied with it at first because it turned out kind of big, but time proved me wrong and I love it now! It is especially great in a light flowy fabric like this rayon and perfect for hot weather. It is flattering when tucked into pants or skirt.
The pattern is easy to assemble and it is a perfect starting project for someone who never made skirts with proper collars before, because this one does not have a collar stand. Construction of that is really easy and the most time consuming part are all the buttonholes. I cheated with this one and made a false button placket, so I need to put it on over my head which is fine with me.

Great spring wardrobe staple.
