I’m a big Closet Case fan. This coat would be pretty straightforward for a sewer with some experience and has a great sewalong to help along the way. I sized up to give me some extra ease for a cosy jumper underneath. I made a few other additions and changes like a hair canvas backstay, cotton flannel interlining, bound buttonholes instead of snappers, an internal zipped pocket and piping between the lining and facing. The fabric is an ex-designer wool houndstooth with a cotton sateen for the lining. This is a full on, much loved winter coat.
