THE shirt pattern for me.

A review of Closet Core Patterns Kalle Shirt/Shirtdress

I made both versions of the shirt and the dress (Views A and C) in two different sizes an two different kinds of fabric. For the shirt I made it in cotton lawn and I went down two sizes. The fit is great, I didn’t change a thing and I love how it turned out. I’ve worn the shirt so many times now and it still is a firm favourite. For the dress I made it in 100% viscose fabric and I only went down one size. The fit is again perfect, the drape of the fabric really makes the shirtdress more blousey and flowy. I love it! Again I didn’t change a thing other than shortening the dress by 3 inches as the pattern was drafted for a model that’d 4 inches taller than me, and I wanted the hem of my dress to be a tad lower.
To me, this shirt pattern is perfect. I love how it fits right out of the envelope and how chic it is too. Such beautiful pattern. If I were to only sew shirts from now on, this pattern would be it.
