Sasha for the office

A review of Closet Core Patterns Sasha Trousers

Pattern: Sasha Trousers by Closet Case Patterns

Fabric: 1.6mt Stretch Suiting Fabric

Notions: interfacing, metal trouser zipper 7” 5/8” button, sew in hook and bar closure

Sewing time:in total approx 5h (including tracing the pattern)

Modifications: I made a straight size 6 of View A without the back trousers. I did end up reducing the seam allowance from the abdomen to the knee to 1 cm to give my body a bit more space.

Fit: good. On me they look a bit longer as I am only 5ft2 (1.57m) and made no modifications to the length. Thought I think they are a bit to tight across my thighs, even with the extra 2 cm overall after using a smaller seam allowance.

Difficulty: advanced beginner.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?: yes

Watch out for: nothing in particular. The instructions are very well written and easy to follow. For more details on construction, one can use the sew-along posts on the Closet Case blog.

Make Again?: Yes. On my next version of this pattern, I’ll trace between size 6 and 8 from below the waist to the knee to allow for more space for my body in this area.
