Kalle Shirt and Shirtdress review

A review of Closet Core Patterns Kalle Shirt/Shirtdress

I am late to this particular party but I’m very glad I’m here. This is a great pattern and there are lots of variations, making it even more versatile. I chose to make the dress version, regular collar and regular button placket. Mine is a size 4 and the fit is spot on. I didn’t have to change anything and I can’t wait to make more. I really want to try the cropped version and a long sleeve tunic length, too.
My fabric is a lightweight viscose and I love how it hangs. But I’m sure it’d work equally well in linen or a cotton lawn. Versatility is Kalle’s middle name. ?
I can’t comment too much on the instructions as I only gave them a cursory glance here and there. But Closet Case instructions are usually clear and fairly thorough. I did notice their method for attaching a collar is the same one I’ve used for a while, and I find it much easier to line everything up this way.
