I thought I would jump on the Cleo bandwagon having seen so many wonderful examples on Instagram. I chose a really nice stretch denim from the Village Haberdashery for mine.

Pros: the instructions are really clear and easy to follow and yet it looks more complicated when made up and pretty professional. The addition of the top stitch looks really nice and adds some nice detail. It’s a fun versatile design and I would love to make it again.

Cons: It’s not the best style for a pear like me, sadly it’s not very flattering on me now I’ve finished it as it hugs my hips (despite adaptation) and gapes at the waist. Consequently as I walk it keeps riding up. Having said all of that I should have just gone with my gut and made it more A-Line instead of being so thrifty with the fabric!
