This was a lovely make – I took a chance without making a muslin (!) and I think I just about got away with it! I had a lovely summery lemon Art Gallery lightweight cotton fabric which sewed very nicely. Cutting a straight 10 (my usual SOI size) it’s perfect on the bust but I took it in slightly at the waist to give me more of a shape. It’s just about ok on the hips but I’d better not put any weight on…. I’m getting more confident at sewing in concealed zips and this one worked well. Good dress for a beginner wanting to practise darts and zips.
