Alex Shirt dress

I made the Alex shirt/dress three times immediately upon buying the eBook and this is the one I made as a dress and lengthened to a midi-length.
It is a fairly easy pattern but I’d say takes a good afternoon or more to complete as there are a fair few trips to the iron etc that adds to the time. Instructions clear. You may want to play with where you place the sleeve tabs depending on how you prefer where for them to finish. I did find it difficult to get a nice neat hem because of its curve but I’m sure that will come with practice. I added pockets but I placed them too low and I don’t think are really needed. I omitted the breast pockets.
I sized down as I didn’t want the shirt to be too oversized (as is the design). I’d usually be a 12/14 in SOI patterns and I made this in a straight size 10 and still had lots of room.
I made this one in a viscose and it was very easy to handle.
