Buy the Whitney Raincoat sewing pattern from Amy Nicole. The Whitney Raincoat is a swingy raincoat with raglan sleeves, in-seam pockets and a roomy hood. Whitney is fully lined and features side front seams as well as a centre back box pleat for extra movement and colour blocking opportunities!

Suggested fabrics: The Whitney Raincoat requires waterproof or water resistant fabric. The designer recommends a laminated cotton. You could also use waxed canvas, various waterproof nylons, lightweight vinyl, and PUL coated fabrics. Light breathable cottons and bemberg rayon work well for the lining. Or if you are in a colder climate, something warm like flannel or fleece may be desirable.

Fabric requirements: Note some pieces may need to be cut in one layer or on the cross grain for 45″ (114 cm) wide fabric.

Shell: 45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: 3.25 – 4.75 yd (3 – 4.5 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 2.75 – 4.25 yd (2.5 – 4 m).

Lining: 45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: 2.5 – 4.25 yd (2.3 – 4 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 2 – 3.5 yd (1.9 – 3.2 m).

Sizing: US 0 – 32 (approx. UK 6 – 32). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Note: Sizes 0 – 14 are drafted for a B cup. Sizes 16 – 32 are drafted for a D cup. All Amy Nicole patterns are drafted for petites (for women 5’4″ and under). Taller ladies may need to add length using the guides provided.

Notions: One 24″ separating zipper (sizes 0-14) OR one 28″ separating zipper (sizes 16-32); four 3/4″ sew-on snaps; seam sealer; fusible hem tape // Optional: Teflon or rolling foot; top-stitch thread.
