Buy the Baby/Child Shoreline Shorts sewing pattern from Waves & Wild. This is the perfect children’s shorts pattern. There are two lengths to choose from, optional pockets, and an elasticated waist. The pattern is designed for medium weight knit fabrics such as French terry or sweatshirt fleece. An overlocker/serger can be used for many steps, but a regular sewing machine is all you need for all options.

This pattern is also available for tweens and teens in two versions, one with a female/curvy fit and the other with a male/straight fit.

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Medium weight knit fabrics are required, ideally with at least 50% stretch, such as cotton/Lycra French terry, sweatshirt fleece, etc. Cotton/Lycra jersey can also be used but the fit will be a little more relaxed. Fabric with 4-way stretch is best but fabric with 2-way stretch can be used.

Fabric requirements: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 30 – 90 cm (3/8 – 1 yd).

Sizing: Preemie/small newborn – 12 years. Please check the size chart.

Notions: Waist elastic, 20 mm (3/4″) for up to age 1, 25 mm (1″) for ages 2-6, 30 mm (1 1/4″) for ages 7-12.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/legal/letter print-at-home pattern (9 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet); projector pattern. This pattern has layers so you can print just the sizes(s) you need.
