Buy the Baby/Child Crosswalk Shorts sewing pattern from Waves & Wild. These smart but comfortable shorts have two lengths and three pocket styles, including eye-catching crossover pockets. Choose between a traditional zip fly, a modified faux fly or a soft elasticated waistband.

Suggested fabrics: 

Main: Medium weight woven fabric. The pattern works with zero stretch but is even better with stretch wovens. Denim and corduroy are great choices.

Soft elasticated waistband option: Cotton/Lycra ribbing or cotton/Lycra jersey.

Fabric requirements: 

Main: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 40 – 90 cm (1/2 – 1 yd).

Soft elasticated waistband option: See chart.

Sizing: 0-3 months – 12 years. Please check the size chart.

Notions: For zip fly and modified faux fly: medium weight interfacing; max. 10 cm (4″) long plastic zip (for zip fly only, it will be trimmed to fit so you can use a longer zip); buttonhole elastic; 2 buttons to match buttonhole elastic + 1 button for front // For soft elasticated waistband: regular elastic (see chart).

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/legal/letter print-at-home pattern (18 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet); projector pattern. This pattern has layers so you can print just the sizes(s) you need.
