Buy the Baby/Child/Adult Pool Party Sun Hat sewing pattern from Waves & Wild. The Pool Party Sun Hat is a soft hat with a peak and neck cover. It is designed to be made from swim Lycra and worn in the water. This pattern is best suited to those sewing at an intermediate level.

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Swim Lycra with 4-way stretch. NOTE: This pattern can be made from cotton/Lycra jersey with good 4-way stretch and return, but it won’t be suitable for wearing in the water.

Fabric requirements:

Baby sizes: a maximum of 40 cm (3/8 yd).

Child sizes: a maximum of 40 cm (3/8 yd).

Adult sizes: a maximum of 50 cm (1/2 yd).

Sizing: Newborn-3 months – XL Adult. Please check the size chart.

Notions: 2 mm or 3 mm thick EVA/craft foam for the peak, maximum 20 cm x 12 cm (8″ x 5″). If possible use foam the same colour as your main fabric. Foam that is a very different colour to your fabric can sometimes show through.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/legal/letter print-at-home pattern (6 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet); projector pattern. This pattern has layers so you can print just the sizes(s) you need.
