Buy the V8957 jacket/shrug sewing pattern from Vogue® Patterns. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner dressmaker. This close-fitting jacket/shrug has four options. A: Cap sleeves. B: Sleeveless, single-layer flounces with very narrow hems, wrong side shows. C: Pleated ruffles. A, B and C: Lined. D: Unlined, sleeve flounces, and purchased trim.

Suggested fabrics: A, C: Taffeta, dupioni, shantung // B: Organza, georgette // D: Lace.

Note: Unsuitable for obvious diagonals. Fabric requirement allows for nap, one-way design or shading. Extra fabric may be needed to match design or for shrinkage.

Sizing: A5 (6-8-10-12-14), E5 (14-16-18-20-22), approx. UK sizes A5 (4/6 – 10), E5 (10 – 18/20). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: D: 1/2″- 1″ double-edged scalloped lace trim (5 1/2 yds. for sizes 6 – 12 and 6 yds. for sizes 14 – 22).
