Buy the V9105 vintage dress and sash sewing pattern from Vogue® Patterns. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner/intermediate dressmaker. An original 1954 design, this loose-fitting dress (fitted through the waist) has front and back extending into sleeves, cuffs, side front and side back seams, stiffening from waist to hemline, side pockets and asymmetrical bound-button closing. The self-fringed, single-layer sash (wrong side shows) has a narrow hem.
Suggested fabrics: Shantung, crepe, linen, satin // Skirt stiffening: Muslin // Interfacing: Organza.
Note: Unsuitable for obvious diagonals. Fabric requirement allows for nap, one-way design or shading. Extra fabric may be needed to match design or for shrinkage.
Sizing: A5 (6-8-10-12-14), E5 (14-16-18-20-22), approx. UK sizes A5 (4/6 – 10), E5 (10 – 18/20). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.
Notions: Six 3/4″ buttons, 1 1/4 yds. of 1″ grosgrain ribbon, hook and eye.
