Buy the Suri Dress sewing pattern from Vikisews. Suri is a lined, close-fitting, A-line dress. The front has a narrow extension beneath the bust line, with curved edges towards the side seams. The extension finishes with a loop for the strap. The long strap is threaded through the loop at the centre front, criss-crosses at the back, goes through the belt loops, and then ties into a knot at the centre back. The dress fastens with an invisible zipper in the centre back seam. Suri is midi-length.

Suggested fabrics: Suiting wool, gabardine, denim, corduroy, faux leather, suede.

For the lining, choose lining fabrics made of artificial (viscose), blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetic fibres (polyester, polyester + elastane).

The dress in the photos is made of faux leather. This fabric is medium-weight, pliable, and has little stretch. The fibre content is a blend of man-made silk, polyurethane and elastane. The lining is 100% viscose.

Fabric requirements: When purchasing fabric, buy 5% more than required to account for shrinkage.

Main: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric, with a directional print: 1.2 – 1.75 m (1 1/4 – 1 7/8 yd) // 140 cm (55″) wide fabric, with a non-directional print: 1.35 – 1.7 m (1 1/2 – 1 7/8 yd) // 145 cm (57″) wide fabric, with a directional print: 1.2 – 1.75 m (1 1/4 – 1 7/8 yd) // 145 cm (57″) wide fabric, with a non-directional print: 1.25 – 1.5 m (1 3/8 – 1 5/8 yd).

Lining: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric, with a non-directional print: 0.9 – 1.25 m (1 – 1 3/8 yd).

Sizing: 34 – 52 (approx. UK 6 – 20, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements. Note the PAPER pattern includes height 2 only (even though additional heights appear on the charts).

This pattern is designed for a B/C cup and 5’4″–5’6″ height.

Model Xenia: Bust 86 cm (33 3/4″) / Waist 63 cm (24 3/4″) / Hips 92 cm (36 1/4″). Xenia is wearing size 36.

– Lightweight fusible interfacing (either knit or woven), 140 cm (55″) wide, 0.3 m (3/8 yd)
