Buy the Sorelle Shorts sewing pattern from Vikisews. Sorelle is a pair of lined, semi-fitted, A-line shorts. The back features waist darts. There are pockets in the side seams. Sorelle fastens with an invisible zipper in the centre back seam. The waistband has a hook-and-eye closure. The scalloped hem is finished with lace trim.

Suggested fabrics: Denim, sateen, eyelet fabric, linen.

For the lining, the designer recommends lining fabrics made of natural fibres (cotton, cotton + elastane).

The shorts in the photos are made of cotton eyelet fabric. The fabric is medium weight, structured, soft, and non-stretch. The fibre content is 100% cotton. The lining is 100% cotton.

Fabric requirements: When purchasing fabric, buy 5% more than required to account for shrinkage.

Main: 140-150 cm (55″-59″) wide fabric, with a directional print/nap: 0.8 – 1.1 m (7/8 – 1 1/4 yd) // 140 cm (55″) wide fabric, with a pattern repeat, cut on the crosswise grain in one direction: 0.95 – 1.2 m (1 – 1 1/4 yd).

Lining: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 0.8 – 1.1 m (7/8 – 1 1/4 yd).

Sizing: 34 – 52 (approx. UK 6 – 20, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements. Note the PAPER pattern includes height 2 only (even though additional heights appear on the charts).

This pattern is designed for a 5’4″–5’6″ height.

Model Sofia: Bust 84 cm (33 1/8″) / Waist 64 cm (25 1/4″) / Hips 90 cm (35 3/8″). Sofia is wearing size 36.
