Buy the Lourdes Dress sewing pattern from Vikisews. Lourdes is a close-fitting, lingerie-inspired dress with a boned corset bodice and separate bra cups. The dress is made of two types of fabric. The inner layer is made of mesh, while the overlay is made of tulle and is ruched along all the edges. Faux plackets with grommets form the lace-up front. The ruched sleeves are long and narrow. The dress closes with an invisible zipper in the centre back seam. Lourdes is below-knee length.

For the inner layer and lining, the designer recommends using medium-weight, soft, pliable mesh with small holes. Choose fabrics made of synthetic fibres (polyester + elastane).

For the casings, straps, and plackets, choose opaque, medium-weight, soft fabrics without stretch. You can use fabrics made of artificial fibres (viscose), blends (viscose + polyester, etc.), or synthetics (polyester).

The dress in the photos is made of two layers of tulle. The fabric is medium-weight, pliable, soft, stretchy, and opaque. The fibre content is 100% nylon. The inner layer and lining are made of stretch mesh. The fabric is medium-weight, pliable, soft, and stretchy. The fibre content is 100% polyester. The casings, straps, and plackets are made of silk satin. The fabric is medium-weight, soft, without stretch. The fibre content is 100% polyester.

Fabric requirements: When purchasing fabric, buy 5% more than required to account for shrinkage.

Outer layer (tulle): 300 cm (118″) wide fabric, with a directional print/nap: 2.25 – 3.35 m (2 1/2 – 3 5/8 yd).

Inner layer (mesh): 140 cm (55″) wide fabric, with a directional print/nap: 1.5 – 2.25 m (1 5/8 – 2 1/2 yd).

Additional (satin): 140 cm (55″) wide fabric, with a directional print/nap: 0.85 – 1 m (7/8 – 1 1/8 yd).
