Buy the Vienna Tank sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. The Vienna Tank is a sassy alternative to the regular tank top. It’s perfect for the summer, whether you want to dress it up with a pencil skirt or down with some cool shorts. The yoke, ruffles and tie are made with woven fabric, while the rest of the bodice uses knit or woven fabric – your choice. Put on your designer hat and colour block with different fabrics to show your style!

View A: neck ruffles and centre front use wrong side of fabric as accent
View B: streamlined with no neck ruffles

Suggested fabrics:

Primary fabric: Use lightweight knit fabric such as jersey and interlock. Keep in mind that a fabric with more drape will be larger/longer and will contour over the body. Ladies with larger busts will find a fabric with more drape fits their figures better. A stable knit will make a more structured garment that is smaller/shorter. If your cup size is C or smaller, you can also use a lightweight woven fabric such as shirting, batiste, lawn, chambray, challis, crepe, broadcloth and linen. View A shows the wrong side of the fabric as an accent, so choose accordingly.

Contrast fabric: Use lightweight woven fabric such as shirting, batiste, lawn, chambray, challis, crepe, broadcloth and linen. Do not use a sheer fabric.

Fabric requirements: Primary fabric, 135 cm (54”) wide: 0.6 – 0.9 m (5/8 – 1 yd) // Primary fabric, 115 cm (44”) wide: 0.7 – 1.1 m (3/4 – 1 1/4 yd) // Contrast fabric, 150 cm or 115 cm (60” or 44”) wide: 0.6 – 0.7 m (5/8 – 3/4 yd).

Sizing: US 00 – 20 (approx. UK 8 – 22). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: 183 cm (72”) of 1 cm (3/8”) wide bias fusible stay tape (optional).

PDF pattern includes: Digital pattern compatible with both US letter and A4 paper sizes; A0 (copy shop) file; step-by-step illustrated instructions. The print-at-home pattern is a layered PDF, so you can select your size before printing.
