Suggested fabrics:

Main: Any medium weight stretch fabric such as french terry or sweatshirt fleece. Lighter weight stretch fabrics such as cotton/Lycra jersey can also be used, but will result in a more relaxed fit. You need fabric with at least 20% stretch and closer to 50% is best. This pattern involves sewing through multiple layers so keep this in mind when choosing your fabric.

Cuffs and pocket accents: Cotton/Lycra ribbing.

Fabric requirementsThe yardage given is for a sweatshirt with pockets. If you do not require pockets you may need a little less fabric.

Main: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 170 – 240 cm (1 7/8 – 2 1/2 yd).

Ribbing: Maximum of 50 cm (1/2 yd).

Sizing: XXS – 5XL (approx. UK 6 – 30/32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart.

Notions: Faux drawstring: Maximum of 16 cm (6 3/8″) drawstring cord; 4 eyelets; scrap of interfacing or reinforcing fabric // Functional drawstring: 100 cm (40″) drawstring cord; 2 eyelets; scrap of interfacing or reinforcing fabric.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/legal/letter print-at-home pattern (30 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets); projector pattern. This pattern has layers so you can print just the sizes(s) you need.
