Buy the Tallinn Top and Dress sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. If you’re looking for a well-fitted, comfortable top or dress that you can wear every day, look no further than Tallinn. Featuring front and back princess seams, as well as a centre front seam, Tallinn has three views: peplum top, regular top and dress. Tallinn also has additional front pattern pieces for full-bust figures – hooray for no full-bust adjustment!

Suggested fabrics: Use knit fabric with approx. 75% horizontal and vertical stretch as well as good recovery. Jersey, interlock, double-brushed poly, ITY and French terry are good choices. Keep in mind knit fabric with more stretch and drape will result in a more relaxed and longer fit, and vice versa.

Fabric requirements: 54″ (135 cm) wide fabric: View A, 1 1/4 – 2 yd (110 – 190 cm) // View B, 1 3/8 – 1 5/8 yd (120 – 140 cm) // View C, 2 – 2 3/4 yd (180 – 250 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 20 (approx. UK 8 – 22). Please check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

A note from the designer about bust options: To determine if you should use the regular bust front pieces or the full-bust front pieces, subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 3″ (7.5 cm) or less, then use the regular bust front; if the rounded difference is more than 3″ (7.5 cm), use the full-bust front.

Notions: 9″ (23 cm) of 3/8″ or 1/2″ (1 cm or 1.25 cm)-wide straight fusible stay tape (or you may cut your own using lightweight woven fusible interfacing on the straight grain).
