The pattern for this boys’ or girls’ pyjama top, which was inspired by vintage baseball jersey styling, features contrast trim at the outside edge and on the pockets. The cuff at the sleeves can be let down as the child grows. The elastic-waist pull-on pants have no side seam for extra sleeping comfort and include contrast bias trim at the hem that can also be let down as the child grows. Make the alternate view with ruffles for a sweet girls’ version.

Suggested fabrics: Fabric B: lightweight woven fabrics like quilting cotton, broadcloth, lawn, shirting, poplin, voile, and linen // Fabric A: any Fabric B or flannel.

6 months – 4 years: View A, Fabric A, 1 1/2 – 2 yards (1.4 – 1.8 m) // View A, Fabric B, 1/2 – 3/4 yard (0.5 – 0.7 m) // View B, Fabric A, 1 1/2 – 2 yards (1.4 – 1.8 m) // View B, Fabric B, 1 yard (0.9 m).

5 – 12 years: View A, Fabric A, 2 3/4 – 3 3/4 yards (2.5 – 3.4 m) // View A, Fabric B, 3/4 – 1 yard (0.7 – 0.9 m) // View B, Fabric A, 2 3/4 – 3 3/4 yards (2.5 – 3.4 m) // View B, Fabric B, 1 yard (0.9 m).

Sizing: 6 months – 4 years and 5 – 12 years. Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread // Top: lightweight fusible interfacing, 1/2″ – 5/8″ buttons (four for sizes 6M-4, five for sizes 5-7, six for sizes 8-12) // Pants: 1 yard of 3/4″ elastic // Optional: for View B, use the View B yardage, or use the View A yardage and premade ruffle trim (2 yards for sizes 6M-4, 2 1/2 yards for sizes 5-12).
