Buy the 8799 vintage nightwear sewing pattern from Simplicity. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner dressmaker. Simple to Make 1950s gowns are sleeveless…neck edge features casing gathered with ribbon drawstring. V.A gown features ribbon through casing at waistline which ties in bow as does ribbon at neck. Lace edging trims neckline, sleeves and lower edge, There are openings at lower edges of side seams. V. C has ribbon bows at shoulders and ribbons at waist. V. B ribbon at neckline ties in front and forms long streamers.

Suggested fabrics: Broadcloth, challis, cotton lawn, cotton types, crepe de chine, silky types, voile.
