Buy the 1509 children’s vest, bolero, and bow tie sewing pattern from Simplicity. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner dressmaker. Boy’s bowtie and vest has button down front closure, two pockets, and sliding back buckle for the perfect fit. Girl’s bolero can be made in cap sleeve or three quarter sleeve with collar and trim variations.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following format:

Suggested fabrics: Cotton and cotton blends, chambray, denim, pinwale corduroy, pique, seersucker, twill, velveteen, sateen, linen and linen blends, brocade. A,B,C also in lightweight wool and wool blends. E,F,G,H also in eyelet, satin, taffeta. Not suitable for sleepwear.

Note: Extra fabric maybe needed to match plaids, stripes, one-way designs fabrics or shrinkage.

Sizing: A (3-4-5-6-7-8) Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread. A,B,C: Six 1/2″ buttons, one 1″ slide buckle. D: Two snaps. E,F,G,H: One pkg of 1/4″ wide double fold bias tape. F: Two 3/4″ buttons.
