Buy the Simplicity S8998 children’s top, dress and trousers pattern, it’s perfect for an advanced beginner dressmaker. Easy to Sew Children’s Dress, Top and Trousers. Dress and top have skirt, gathered into waist seam, fastening at back neck. Raglan-style sleeves have style and length options. Trousers are pull-on with elasticated waist. Suitable for woven fabrics.

Suggested fabrics: A,B Dress and C Top in brocade, chambray, cotton types, sotted swiss, flannel, gauze, gingham, linen types, shirtings. D Pants in corduroy, lightweight denim, pinwale corduroy, stretch wovens, tweed, twill. Not suitable for sleepwear.

Note: Extra fabric maybe needed to match plaids, stripes, one-way designs fabrics or shrinkage.

Sizing: A (3-4-5-6-7-8) Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread. A,B,C: One pkg of 1/2″ wide single fold bias tape, one 3/8″ button, 2″ length of elastic cord. A: One pkg of jumbo rick rack. C: Four 5/8″ buttons, 5/8 yd. of 3/8″ wide elastic. D: 7/8 yd. of 3/4″ wide elastic.
