Buy the Sibiu Top sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. Winter, summer or transitional weather? Sibiu has you covered! This batwing top can be a cosy cowl neck sweater with long sleeves or a breezy crew neck t-shirt with three-quarter sleeves. For an interesting take, you can choose to colour-block the shoulders on the batwing sleeves. The Sibiu is easy to style and simple to make. Sometimes you just need instant gratification!

Suggested fabrics: 

Primary fabric: Use light or medium-weight knit fabric with at least 50% four-way stretch and good recovery (with elastane) such as jersey, sweater knit and French terry.

Contrast fabric: Use the same type of fabric as the primary fabric. You can also use stretch lace. The contrast fabric is for the shoulder insets.

Fabric requirements: 

Primary fabric: 54″ (135 cm) wide fabric: Bodice, 1 1/2 – 2 yd (130 – 180 cm) // Cowl, add 1/2 yd (50 cm) for all sizes // Neckband, add 1/8 yd (10 cm) for all sizes // Short cuff, add 1/4 yd (20 cm) for all sizes // Long cuff, add 1/2 yd (50 cm) for all sizes.

Contrast fabric: 54″ (135 cm) wide fabric: Shoulder insets, add 1/2 yd (50 cm) for all sizes.

Sizing: US 00 – 40 (approx. UK 6 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
