Buy the Aida Dress sewing pattern from Sew Over It. Meet Aida, a beautiful dress with a touch of vintage! Aida features a curved empire waist with gathers under the bust and a panelled skirt for a fit that skims the figure. The dress is finished with facings and an invisible zip at the back.

Choose between a simple sleeve or a gentle puff sleeve with a pretty shirred cuff. Aida looks really cute in the shorter length (just above the knee) and elegant and sophisticated in the longer length (below the knee). Great to wear with or without tights, she will carry you through winter into spring.

Use a light to medium weight fabric with plenty of drape. Aida looks fantastic in a print, or a bright solid colour will really show off the style lines.

Version 1: 1.15 m wide fabric: 2.9 – 3.2 m // 1.40 m wide fabric: 2.5 – 2.9 m.

Version 2: 1.15 m wide fabric: 2.5 – 2.9 m // 1.40 m wide fabric: 2.0 – 2.3 m.

Sizes 18 – 30

Version 1: 1.40 m wide fabric: 3.0 – 3.3 m.

Version 2: 1.40 m wide fabric: 2.6 – 2.9 m.

Sizing: UK 6 – 20 and UK 18 – 30 (approx. UK 6 – 20 and UK 20 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and finished garment measurements.

This pattern is split into two different blocks. The 6 – 20 size range is drafted for a B cup. The 18 – 30 size range is drafted for a D cup.

Notions: 50 cm of lightweight interfacing; 22″ invisible zip // For shirred cuff only: a spool of shirring elastic.
