Buy the Baby/Child Sailboat Top, Skirt and Pants sewing pattern from Oliver + S. Let’s go to the boat pond! Pull-on, button-shoulder top has long sleeves, topstitched details, and curved shirt-tail hem. Unisex sailor-style, button-front cropped pants include side vents and elastic at the back waist. Matching A-line skirt also includes button front closure and back elastic.

Suggested fabrics: Light- to medium-weight woven fabrics like quilting cottons, broadcloth, canvas, corduroy, denim, poplin, and seersucker. Top can also be made in light- to medium-weight knits like jersey or interlock.

Fabric requirements: 44″ – 45″ (112 – 114 cm) wide fabric:
6 months – 3 years: Top, 1 1/4 yards (1.2 m) // Skirt, 2/3 – 7/8 yard (0.6 – 0.8 m) // Pants, 2/3 – 1 yard (0.6 – 0.9 m).

4 – 8 years: Top, 1 1/3 – 1 1/2 yards (1.2 – 1.4 m) // Skirt, 7/8 – 1 yard (0.8 – 0.9 m)// Pants, 1 1/4 – 1 1/2 yards (1.2 – 1.4 m).

Sizing: 6 months – 3 years and 4 – 8 years. Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread, lightweight fusible interfacing // Pants and Skirt: four 5/8″ buttons, 1/2 yard of 3/4″-wide elastic // Top: four 3/8″-1/2″ buttons.
