Buy the Sabrina Pencil Skirt sewing pattern from Forget-me-not Patterns. This pattern will help you get your dream fit! It contains three versions that have each been lovingly engineered from the ground up for different figure types. The shaped style lines contour the skirt to your body, and Sabrina also features darts which other patterns often lack, giving you amazing control over the fit wherever you need it.

Sabrina has a classic tailored fit with minimal ease and sits above the knee. It has a waist facing, invisible zip closure, and kick pleat. Separate pattern pieces are included for an optional full lining.

Make a classic your way! The curved seams are a perfect opportunity to play with colour-blocking, flat piping, or stripes and plaids. Sabrina can pair with a t-shirt for a casual everyday look, or go glam with a fancy blouse. Sabrina will be your new favourite wardrobe staple!

Suggested fabrics:

Main: Sabrina is designed for non-stretch wovens. Suiting fabrics, medium-weight wools, cottons, and linens are good choices. Although it is designed for non-stretch wovens, you can also use wovens with stretch. This pattern is suitable for stripes and directional prints.

Lining: Choose lightweight slippery fabrics such as acetates, rayons, silks, or polyesters.

Fabric requirements: Allow extra fabric for directional prints or if cutting creatively with stripes.

Main: Sizes 28 – 40: 114 cm (44″) wide fabric: 1.5 m (1.7 yd) / 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 1.3 m (1.4 yd) // Sizes 42 – 48: 114 cm (44″) wide fabric: 1.7 m (1.9 yd) / 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 1.6 m (1.75 yd).

Lining: 114 cm (44″) or 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: Sizes 28 – 40, 1.2 m (1.3 yd) // Sizes 42 – 48, 1.3 m (1.4 yd).

Sizing: 28 – 48 (approx. UK 4 – 24). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Sabrina comes in three different fits, each designed for a different hip-to-waist ratio. The straight fit has a 14 cm (5 1/2″) difference between waist and hip, the mid fit has a 28 cm (11″) difference, and the curvy fit has a 36 cm (14″) difference. Please note, in this case “curvy” does not refer to plus size, simply the proportions of the body.

Notions: Thread; 0.3 m of lightweight woven fusible interfacing; invisible zip, 25 – 30 cm (10″ – 12″).

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (33 pages for each fit); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets for each fit). This PDF pattern has layers so you can print just the size(s) you need.
