Buy the Rio Knit Top and Dress sewing pattern from Sinclair Patterns. Rio is fitted at the shoulders and bust, relaxed at the waist and semi-relaxed at the hips. It can be made as a longline tank top (View A) or as an above-knee length dress (View B). Both options have a faced curved hem, scoop neck and a choice of a classic back or racerback. Rio can be colour-blocked at the front panel. The armholes and neckline are finished with fully enclosed binding. Rio has the right amount of coverage and yet is pretty, sporty, sexy and comfortable. A fairly simple design elevated with details, it’s a summer essential that’s also a fantastic layering piece from spring to fall!

Sizing: US 0 – 30 / XXS – 4XL (approx. UK 6 – 34) in Petite, Regular and Tall. Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Petite: 152 – 160 cm (5’1″ – 5’3″)

Regular: 162 – 170 cm (5’4″ – 5’6″)

Tall: 170 – 178 cm (5’7″ – 5’9″)

Choosing your height: The height affects the final fit of the garment at all vertical measurements (not only length, but also armhole depth, depth of the neckline, rise, decorative elements, etc). If you’re on the boundaries of the heights, follow these recommendations: 1) If you have a long torso, choose the next height, 2) If you have long legs, choose the smaller height, 3) If your torso and legs are proportional, choose the next height.

Notions: Polyester/cotton thread // Optional: Matching overlocker threads, preferably wooly nylon stretch overlocking thread.
