Buy the PB Jam Leggings sewing pattern from Fehr Trade. These are close-fitting workout leggings with a contrast swirl design on the upper front thigh leading to the upper back. There’s a hidden pocket inside at the upper centre back, perfect for gels, keys, or your phone. The contrast panels at the backs of the knees are perfect for mesh fabrics. An elasticated, high-rise waistband means they won’t shift around as you move either!

What we think: Perfect for anyone wanting to tackle sewing their own activewear. The contrast panels are perfect for colour blocking and using up some of that stash!

Suggested fabrics: Lycra with at least 50% stretch in both directions and excellent recovery. Fabric terms to look for include “wicking lycra”, “supplex”, “activewear lycra”, or “sports jersey”. Appropriate fabrics will likely be made from polyester or nylon with a substantial elastane (Lycra) content.

Fabric requirements: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: Main, 0.9 – 1 m (1 – 1 1/8 yd) // Contrast, 0.4 m (1/2 yd). If coordinating with the XYT Workout Top, 1 m (1 yd) of fabric is sufficient for both the top and leggings contrasts!

Sizing: XXS – XL (approx. UK 6/8 – 18/20). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements. It is recommended that you select a size based on your hip measurement.

Notions: Less than 1 m of 2 cm (3/4″) woven (braided) waistband elastic; twin needle or coverstitch for elastic edges and hem.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (24 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet); projector file. This is layered PDF so you can select your size(s) before printing.
