Buy the Nurit Coat sewing pattern from Vikisews. Nurit is a straight, loose-fitting coat, slightly tapered at the bottom, featuring wide horizontal quilting. The coat has front and back princess seams and front in-seam pockets. The drop-shoulder sleeves are long and wide. The high standing collar is detachable and snaps on and off. The coat closes with set-in snaps. Nurit is below-knee length.

Suggested fabrics: Blended raincoat fabrics, Dewspo, twill, taffeta, Taslan.

For the lining, choose lining fabrics made from artificial fibres (viscose), blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane).

For the insulation layer, use Alpolux, Isosoft, Thinsulate, polyester batting 100 g/m².

The coat in the photos is made from rainwear fabric (51% cotton + 49% polyester). The fabric is medium-weight, soft, wind- and water-resistant. The lining fabric is 45% viscose + 55% polyester. The insulation is Alpolux 100 g/m². The interlining is spunbond 30 g/m². This material is also known as ‘agrotex’ and can be found in gardening or hardware stores. The coat is interfaced with lightweight knit interfacing, 40-50 g/m².

Fabric requirements: When purchasing fabric, buy 5% more than required to account for shrinkage.

Main: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 3.36 – 3.68 m (3 5/8 – 4 yd) // 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 3.05 – 3.3 m (3 3/8 – 3 5/8 yd).

Lining: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 1.73 – 2.64 m (1 7/8 – 2 7/8 yd).

Insulation: 150 cm (60″) wide: 2.49 – 2.96 m (2 3/4 – 3 1/4 yd).

Sizing: XS/S – XL (approx. UK 6 – 20, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Vikisews patterns are designed for a B/C cup.
