Buy the Nittany Top sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. If you’re looking for a lightweight, breathable top for summer, look no further than the Nittany Top! It has a round neckline with pleats and an optional keyhole at the centre front. Other features include short sleeves, a shirttail hem, a partially lined front, and an optional sash to cinch in the waist. Or skip the sash and tuck (or half tuck) the top into your favourite jeans for a casual look!

If ordering a copy shop pattern, please choose from the following options: sizes 00-20 with an A cup; sizes 00-20 with a B cup; sizes 00-20 with a C cup; sizes 00-20 with a D cup; sizes 00-20 with a DD cup; sizes 16-40 with a B cup; sizes 16-40 with a C cup; sizes 16-40 with a D cup; sizes 16-40 with a DD cup.

Suggested fabrics: 

Primary fabric: Lightweight, non-stretch, woven fabric with some drape, such as viscose/cotton blend, viscose/linen blend, rayon challis, georgette, silk, satin, crepe, chambray and batik.

Lining: Very lightweight, non-stretch, woven fabric such as voile and batiste. It can be the same as the primary fabric.

Fabric requirements: 

Primary fabric: 54″ (135 cm) wide fabric: 1 – 2 1/8 yd (90 – 190 cm).

Lining: 54″ (135 cm) wide fabric: 1/2 – 3/4 yd (50 – 70 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 40 (approx. UK 6/8 – 34/36, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Sizes 00 – 20 have A, B, C, D and DD cups. Sizes 22 – 40 have B, C, D and DD cups.

A note from the designer about bust cup options: To determine your cup size, subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 1″ (2.5 cm), use A cup; 2″ (5 cm), use B cup; 3″ (7.5 cm), use C cup; 4″ (10 cm), use D cup; 5″ (12.5 cm), use DD cup.

PDF pattern includes: Step-by-step illustrated instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home patterns (one for sizes 00-20 and one for sizes 16-40); A0 copy shop patterns (one for sizes 00-20 and one for sizes 16-40). The layers feature allows you to select your size(s) before printing.
