– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?
Suggested fabrics: Jeans – the bigger/longer the better. Very long (33″ or 34″ inside leg) straight or wide leg jeans work best. Skinny jeans do not work. The extent of the flare at the bottom of your jeans will determine the flare of the dress. It can be difficult to get 33″ or 34″ jeans, so if you can’t get these just use the longest you can find, as the pattern can be adjusted to use shorter length jeans. You can also increase the length of the ruffle if you feel the dress might be too short.
Fabric requirements: See chart for ideal minimum size of jeans (but the pattern can be easily adjusted to use shorter length jeans).
Sizing: 8 – 16 years. Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.
Notions: Fabric for bias binding (or shop bought 1″/25 mm bias binding) and ruffle (see chart); 16″ (40 cm) invisible zipper; wonder tape (optional for sewing invisible zipper).
PDF pattern includes: Instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (8 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet).
