Buy the Marseille Dress sewing pattern from Hey June Handmade. The Marseille Dress is a swingy, relaxed, unlined woven dress featuring a gathered skirt, bust and back darts, in-seam pockets, a full centre button placket, and an optional sash. View A has narrower shoulder straps and a scoop neck. View B features a gentle V neck with wider shoulder straps. Both views have the option for a knee length or calf length hem. Marseille can be easily dressed up or down – pair it with strappy sandals, or sneakers and a chunky cardi, or a denim jacket – the options are endless!

Suggested fabrics: Light to midweight wovens with good drape, such as silk, poly, rayon, cotton, linen, and blends of these fabrics.

Fabric requirements:

Sizes 0 – 20: 42″ (107 cm) wide fabric: 4 yd (3.7 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 3 yd (2.7 m).

Sizes 14 – 30: 42″ (107 cm) wide fabric: 5 yd (4.6 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 4 yd (3.7 m)*.

* 3.5 yd (3.2 m) if using a different fabric to cut the bias tape.

Sizing: US 0 – 20 with a B cup (approx. UK 8 – 22, based on our standardised size chart) or US 14 – 30 with a D cup (approx. UK 20 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and pattern measurements.

Notions: 10-12 coordinating buttons, 1/2″-3/4″ diameter; a strip of lightweight fusible interfacing, 42″ (sizes 0-20) or 48″ (sizes 14-30) long x 4″ wide (the interfacing can also be applied in pieces if necessary); matching thread.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (44 pages for sizes 0-20, 49 pages for sizes 14-30); 36″ wide copy shop pattern (1 sheet for each size range); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets for sizes 0-20, 3 sheets for sizes 14-30). This pattern has layers so you can print only the size(s) you need.
