Buy the Gothenburg Top sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. The Gothenburg Top is the epitome of casual chic. With simple lines, the wonderfully easy Gothenburg lets the fabric do the talking. Designed for a structured knit, the funnel neck stands up to create an interesting feature. The Gothenburg features long set-in sleeves and a slightly dipped back hem. It also has bust darts and cup size options for a great bust fit!

If ordering a copy shop pattern, please choose from the following options: sizes 00-20 with A and B cups, sizes 00-20 with C and D cups, sizes 00-20 with a DD cup, sizes 16-40 with a B cup, sizes 16-40 with a C cup, sizes 16-40 with a D cup, sizes 16-40 with a DD cup.

Suggested fabrics: Use medium weight structured knit fabric with 25-35% stretch. Structured fabric is essential so that the funnel neck can stand up and not flop down. Examples are ponte, micro fleece, quilted jersey, ottoman rib and scuba.

Fabric requirements: 54″ (135 cm) wide fabric: 1 5/8 – 2 5/8 yd (150 – 240 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 40 (approx. UK 6/8 – 34/36). Please check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Sizes 00-20 have A, B, C, D and DD cups. Sizes 22-40 have B, C, D and DD cups.

A note from the designer about bust cup options: To determine your cup size, subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 1″ (2.5 cm), use A cup; 2″ (5 cm), use B cup; 3″ (7.5 cm), use C cup; 4″ (10 cm), use D cup; 5″ (12.5 cm), use DD cup.

Notions: 11″ (28 cm) of 3/8″ or 1/2″ (1 cm or 1.25 cm)-wide straight fusible stay tape (or cut your own using lightweight woven fusible interfacing on the straight grain).
