Buy the Fons Shirt and Lena Dress and Top sewing pattern from WISJ Designs. Fons is a shirt with cap sleeves and a colour block option. A perfect beginners project! Almost all stretch fabrics are a good match with Fons. Lena is a dress or top with the same sleeves as Fons, but with a top and bottom piece. You can choose gathers at the front and/or back, or a pleat at the back. Lena works with both stretch and (drapey) woven fabrics!

Note: In the A0 version, pattern pieces overlap. If you choose copy shop printing, we will send you extra copies of the pattern sheets so you do not need to trace.

Suggested fabrics: 

Fons: This shirt has been designed for stretch fabrics with a neckline finish in the same fabric or ribbing.

Lena: This dress and top has one version designed for stretch fabrics and one version for woven fabrics. Lena is at her most pretty when she’s made from fabrics with a fluid drape like modal, (bamboo) jersey, viscose, crepe, silk, cupro, tencel. Note: The version with gathers at the front and back is very wide, so be sure to use fabrics that drape nicely and are not too thick or bulky.

Fabric requirements: 

Fons: 140 cm wide fabric: 100 – 170 cm (see chart for colour blocking requirements).

Lena: 140 cm wide fabric: Dress, 120 – 250 cm // Top, 100 – 160 cm.

Sizing: EU 34 – 50 (approx. UK 8 – 22). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4 print-at-home pattern (24 pages for Fons, 35 pages for Lena); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets with overlapping pieces) // Layers: Yes (print-at-home only) // Projector file: No.
