Buy the Fairmount Shacket sewing pattern from Hey June Handmade. The Fairmount Shacket is a relaxed, drop-sleeve button down halfway between a shirt and a jacket. It’s designed to be worn over a top or dress for cool weather layering. The Fairmount features bust darts in the D cup range, a convertible collar, a full button placket, optional chest pockets with flaps, a continuously bound cuff opening for easy sleeve rolling, and a generous back pleat. Style your shacket with jeans and loafers for a cute, casual outfit!

Suggested fabrics: Apparel weight flannel, fleece, wool, corduroy, or other cotton wovens. Heavier weight fabrics can be used, but the garment will have more body and less drape.

Fabric requirements:

Sizes 0 – 20: 44″ (112 cm) wide fabric: 3 1/2 – 4 yd (3.2 – 3.7 m) // 56″ (142 cm) wide fabric: 2 3/4 – 3 yd (2.5 – 2.7 m).

Sizes 14 – 30: 44″ (112 cm) wide fabric: 4 yd (3.7 m) // 56″ (142 cm) wide fabric: 3 yd (2.7 m).

Sizing: US 0 – 20 with a B cup (approx. UK 8 – 22, based on our standardised size chart) or US 14 – 30 with a D cup (approx. UK 20 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and pattern measurements.

Notions: 1/2 yd of lightweight fusible interfacing; 8 – 9 buttons // Optional: 1 button for each pocket flap.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (30 pages for sizes 0-20, 36 pages for sizes 14-30); 36″ wide copy shop pattern (1 sheet for each size range); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets for each size range). This pattern has layers so you can print only the size(s) you need.
